Homemade Chocolate Ice Cream (4 people)


The recipe is really very simple, but the result will leave you pleasantly surprised because here we will select the ingredients from the beginning. Furthermore, by preparing it at home, you can decide from time to time to vary the flavor of your ice cream by using dark, milk, white or gianduja chocolate; add some spices or dare with a very spicy touch of chilli. Loved by adults and children, it is really simple to prepare at home with truly surprising results.

250g of fresh cream

150 g of milk

150g of dark chocolate

150 g of sugar

3 egg yolks

vanilla essence

Break the chocolate into pieces and chop it with a knife. Place it in a steel basin together with the milk, cream and sugar.
In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar, pour the egg and sugar mixture into the saucepan with the chocolate, keeping the heat low until it just touches the boiling point. Let the mixture cool, put it in the fridge for at least 1 hour and transfer it to the ice cream maker.
Start by stirring for about 30-40 minutes until the ice cream has the right creamy consistency.

If you prefer you can accompany it with whipped cream and a Sicilian brioche.
